Edward Abbey (1927-1989)
Americký spisovatel. Narodil se v Indianě (Pennsylvánie). V letech 1945-47 sloužil jako voják v italské Neapoli. Poté studoval na univerzitách v Pennsylvánii, v Novém Mexiku a jeden rok dokonce i ve skotském Edinburghu. Celkem pětkrát se oženil. Zemřel u Tucsonu v Arizoně.
